1. Published Books:
- The Electronic B@zaar, From the Silk Road to the eRoad. (Brearley). Published in April 2000, The Electronic B@zaar, became a business best seller in the UK and confirmed Bloor’s status as an expert in the field of electronic commerce. The book analyzes and describes the electronic economy. The book received many accolades, including being declared Book of the Week by The Sunday Times in the UK and being referred to as “a classic” by Publisher’s Weekly in the US.
- Service Oriented Architecture for Dummies. (Wiley). Jointly authored with Judith Hurwitz and Marcia Kaufman (both of Hurwitz & Associates) this introduction to SOA has become the best selling book on the subject. Written in the characteristic “Dummies” style the book acts as an introduction to the subject both for business readers and technology professionals.

3. As a columnist: Bloor authored a column in DMBS Magazine (in the US) for 4 years and also provided regular content for Computer Weekly in the UK. He has also regularly written individual articles for many magazines in the UK and Europe over a decade. He was the prime author for the web site IT-Director.com which he designed and built in 1998/9 and which subsequently became one of the primary UK IT related web sites .
4. Analyst activity: As one would expect of any analyst, he has authored numerous white papers, product reviews and IT research papers.
He is a skilled writer and regards writing as one of his his primary talents.
